FourStroke 175-300HP

150 amp. Standby Charging Feature

Reliability, flexibility, power, and efficiency—all at your fingertips. Backed by decades of innovative approach and product leadership in marine engines, Mercury V8 and V6 FourStroke outboard engines deliver legendary performance and forward-thinking technology. FourStroke outboard engines are designed for all types of water and a wide variety of boat types.

Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive Speed Control maintains the desired revolutions per minute (rpm) without requiring any adjustment to the throttle lever, regardless of changes in load or conditions—a first in the outboard motor industry.

Soft and Quiet

V8 and V6 FourStroke engines are quieter and smoother than the leading competitor.

Easy Maintenance

The special top-opening service cover facilitates routine maintenance, allowing you to check or change the engine oil without removing the cover. The hour-based maintenance schedule label is located under the cover, allowing you to easily check routine maintenance.

Industry-Specific Battery Management Technology

When the battery voltage is low, the motors automatically increase the idle speed to boost the alternator and charge the batteries to the appropriate level. This protects the batteries and electrical devices from draining during fishing.

Large Amount of Load Output

FourStroke models feature a powerful alternator that provides 20 amps of net charging output at idle and 30 amps at maximum speed.

Quick Acceleration

The high displacement and four-cam design of the V8 and V6 FourStroke powerheads deliver high torque, especially in the mid-range.

Superior Fuel Economy

Advanced Range Optimization increases fuel savings at cruising speed by automatically adjusting refueling so smoothly that the operator will not feel or hear it.

Lightweight and Compact

Mercury V8 and V6 FourStroke outboard motors are the lightest motors in their class, weighing at least 5 kg less than their competitors and mounting on 26-inch centers for wider equipment.

FourStroke Advantages

Go Further

Advanced Range Optimization, offered by Mercury Marine, uses closed-loop fuel control to precisely adjust the fuel mixture and achieve the best possible fuel economy.

Keep Your Boat Level

Adaptive Speed Control maintains the engine's revolutions per minute (rpm) regardless of load or condition changes, such as choppy water, sharp turns, towing water sports, and flying over the water surface at lower speeds, without the need to frequently change the throttle position—a first in the outboard motor industry.

Lighter Design

At Mercury, our engineers calculate every gram and reduce the weight of our FourStroke outboard motors to ensure that each motor is the lightest in its class.

Smart Charging

Idle charging battery management technology prevents boat owners' batteries from draining while power tools are in use. When the battery voltage is low, it automatically increases the idle speed to boost the alternator output and recharge low-level batteries.
